The Nandi Bible Project...
In 2012, while on assignment in the USA, the Yegos met Dr. René Freret, Director of Bible Education and Missionary Services (BEAM), whose mission is to publish Bibles around the world. The Yegos approached Dr. Freret about the possibility of a revised version of the Bible in Nandi, the dialect spoken by more than two million people in the Kapsabet region. The original Nandi Bible had been published in 1939 and not revised since.
Three years later on October 24, 2015, more than three thousand pastors, bishops, and Kenyan Christians from fourteen denominations came together to celebrate the new revised version.
We produced and distributed over 5000 Bibles within the Nandi Community.
We took up this project as part of fulfilling the great commission command. Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). Providing Scripture in every language is a practical way to fulfill this mission.
This Bible project remains a priority for the organisation.
Sunday Devotions...
3 years ago, Prof. Yego started developing devotions from the Bible systematically. He shares these devotions every Sunday, helping people to grow in their faith while guiding others.
The Sunday devotions are shared through the WhatsApp and email platforms and are read by thousands of people across the World most of whom are not of the Christian faith.
